Day 8 and Counting

For a good update on the last week's worth of events, see As Concerned Surveillance Court Judges Seek Briefing, Extent of Secret Domestic Spying Program Appears Far Broader than Bush Acknowledged from NewsInferno.com.

I'd especially like to call the attention of my friend, Chas (Jeremiah's Helper) in Dallas,Texas, to the following words from a fellow Texan:
U.S. District Judge George Kazen of the Southern District of Texas said in an interview that his information about the program has been largely limited to accounts in the press.

"Why didn't it go through FISA?" Kazen asked. He believes there are valid questions that the administration should be asked. “The president at first said he didn't want to talk about it. Now he says, 'You're darn right I did it, and it's completely legal.' I gather he's got lawyers telling him this is legal. I want to hear those arguments."
Last Tuesday I told Chas I was going to create this blog based on the question "how many days will it take for a Republican Congress to Impeach a Republican President?"

Chas replied, "Probably just as long as it took a Republican congress to impeach a Democratic one!"

That gives us our first benchmark for estimating the actual Impeachment Date:
124

Based on this benchmark, George W. Bush will be impeached on:

Friday, April 21, 2006
Now, won't that be a Good Friday (Orthodox)
