Day 6 and Counting
The highlight in today's news is this from the Washington Post.
Seems that the Justice Department has been trying to defend Bush's illegal acts by saying that "Congress implicitly created an exception to FISA's warrant requirement by authorizing President Bush to use military force in response to" 9/11. Too bad for them that former Senate majority leader, Tom Daschle, says that language legalizing what Bush later did was explicitly rejected before the Senate voted for the Authorization for the Use of Military Force.
